NASHVILLE, Tenn.— An invitation-only Winter Jam 2012 Tour Spectacular Announcement and Launch Party was held earlier this week in Nashville. Hosted by Grammy®-nominated NewSong, founders of Christian music's largest annual tour and Pollstar’s #1 tour in attendance for the first quarter of this year, top artists, industry executives and national media gathered at Bridgestone Arena for an evening of exclusive tour announcements and performances.

Along with revealing the Winter Jam 2012 line-up, to be headlined by Grammy®-nominated alternative rockers Skillet, several tour artists gave performances throughout the evening, beginning with NewSong's acoustic arrangement of their new single, "The Same God," followed by Kari Jobe's performance of her debut Sparrow single, "We Are," and concluding with Peter Furler's rendition of his recent hit, "Reach." The 47-city tour will also feature Sanctus Real, Building 429, Group 1 Crew, and illusionist Brock Gill.

The event included an appearance from Skillet, whose frontman John Cooper spoke about the power of Winter Jam's musically diverse line-up and its broad appeal to audiences across the country. Also, the 2012 tour's featured speaker, Nick Hall, founder of PULSE, shared his excitement in joining the Winter Jam Tour for the first time, while the Gospel Music Association's executive director, Jackie Patillo, spoke about the tour's impact on Christian music.

In addition, Word Entertainment president and CEO Rod Riley announced the OneVerse Pre-Jam Party, which will include performances from Dara Maclean, For King & Country, and We As Human.
